Peter J. Riznyk, DPM, FACFAS

Peter Riznyk, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Peter J. Riznyk is a native of Western New York. Dr. Riznyk graduated from Frontier High School and the University of Buffalo. He then began his career in Podiatric medicine in Chicago and graduated as Valedictorian of the Class of 1986 from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Riznyk then completed a residency in foot and ankle surgery at Westview Hospital in Indianapolis. He then opened his private practice in Orchard Park, NY, and a few years later opened a second office at Lakeshore Hospital in Irving, NY.

Dr. Riznyk is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He remains a member in good standing of the American Podiatric Medical Association and has been for 30 years.

 

Angela Riznyk-Bosworth, DPM, FACFAS

Angela J. Riznyk, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Angela Riznyk-Bosworth is a WNY native and the daughter of Dr. Peter Riznyk. She graduated from Orchard Park High School and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the State University of NY College at Geneseo. She then completed her graduate education at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, IL where she graduated top of her class.

Following receipt of her DPM degree, she completed a three year residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with the added credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery at the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Falls Church, VA. In addition to comprehensive training in both Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, her training included rotations on Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Radiology, Anesthesia, Pain Service, Orthopedic Trauma, Orthopedic Oncology, Wound Care, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She treats complex pathologies of the foot and ankle including, but not limited to, pes planus (flatfoot), pes cavus (high-arched foot), Charcot neuroathropathy, Diabetic foot ulcers, lateral ankle instability, ankle arthritis, foot and ankle trauma, as well as forefoot pathologies (bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, metatarsus adductus, etc.).

Dr. Riznyk-Bosworth also practices at the Buffalo Vascular Care Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic where she treats diabetic foot ulcers as well as other complex wounds of the foot and ankle. She also oversees hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Dr. Riznyk-Bosworth is a member in good standing with the American Podiatric Medical Association and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery.
